I came to this hotel several times, but this time I made the reservation a long time ago in January at the front desk The room was paid for. When y arrived at the hotel they did not give me the room I had paid for, trying to get an explanation the lady at the desk was unhelpful and did not take the time to explain why. ??! Be careful when booking because you may not get the room you paid for.....

Charming hotel to visit Paris

We chose this hotel to visit the Musée of Orsay which is 35min walk away from the hotel. Very nice place with comfortable bed and amazing client service. The bedroom was a little too warm (even with the heating off), but for the rest we had an enjoyable stay at Hotel Madrigal.

A friend recommended this hotel, and I was impressed! The location is very good, close to the Metro - with lots of nice boulangerie's, bars and restaurants nearby. It is walking distance to the Eiffel Tower, and central Paris. I was here for work, and found the room very clean, large and peaceful. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and I was also glad that they allowed me to store my luggage for my last day in Paris. 100% recommend.

Very friendly small hotel in nice part of Montparnasse. Very comfortable and quiet room. Freshly renovated. Ideal peaceful space for 3 day business stay. Bathroom slightly on small side but good quality with excellent shower. Front desk was excellent; always friendly, welcoming and helpful. Very good English, which is only sad if you want to practice your French! The hotel owner's dog Ocaso is often around to add to the welcome. Hotel is flanked by small restaurants, one with French bistro style and the other modern Italian. This makes dinners easy, and both were very good and reasonably priced. Not that there is a shortage of restaurants nearby ... Breakfast comes in a small wooden "bento box". I was dubious at first, being used to buffet style, but this works well and is decent value. It didn't get repetitive in 3 days. The hotel is immediately opposite the Pasteur metro station (20 metres) on a direct line to Eiffel Tower, Trocadero and Paris Convention Centre. If arriving on metro line 4 (eg from Gare du Nord or Gare de l'Est) then change the few steps to line 12 and go 2 stops. If arriving on any other line, or at Gare Montparnasse by train, then the walk is only ~8 minutes downhill from the Boulevard Vaugirard station exit. This is probably less time than walking the wrong direction in the long tunnels to the line 12 platform. Hotel is highly recommended if you want a small and personal experience in Paris.

Great location to explore the beautiful city of Paris. Easy walk to the Eiffel Tower and back. The room was small but had everything we needed to be comfortable. The staff was courteous and helpful. Would definitely recommend and would definitely return again.
